Visions of Light. I don't photograph fireworks to tell the story of the event, the Cannes Pyrotechnic Festival, but to capture what happens within the light itself. From shots taken from a distance, with a telephoto lens, abstract visions emerge: fragments of sky, explosions of color, trails that become painting. In post-production, I work on the details, on enlargements, on those forms that the human eye cannot perceive but that photography reveals. The result is no longer a memory of a summer night, but an autonomous work of art, where fire becomes matter, movement becomes gesture, and light becomes subject.
